Jeff Weiner, Administrator
Administrator, Jeff Weiner, was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH. He was a graduate of Finneytown H.S. and went on to receive his degree from The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and his master’s from The University of Cincinnati. He and his wife, Shelley, have been married for 31 ½ years and raised 2 daughters, Alexandra (27) and Tori (24). Jeff ‘s 2 Greyhounds (Hiro and Biggie) and Dachshund (Franny) complete his family. Franny is a frequent visitor at Woodcrest! In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and relaxing with family and friends. His “claim to fame” was his family’s business, Shor’s Dept. Store on Pike St. in Covington, where he spent many days throughout his childhood until it closed in 1981.
Jeff has a passion for Long-term Care and has worked in the field for 32 years. He is pleased to be a part of the Woodcrest team and considers it an honor and privilege to serve both our families and residents. His door is always open for questions, concerns, or just to stop by to say hi!
Maxine Long, Director of Nursing
Our Director of Nursing, Maxine Long or “Max” as the residents know her, has been a valued member of the Woodcrest family for 13 years. She began her career at Woodcrest as a Certified Nursing Assistant while earning her Associate Degree in Nursing from Gateway Community and Technical College. Throughout her career, she has served in a variety of clinical and leadership roles, from Floor Nurse, Unit Manager, MDS Coordinator, and now Director of Nursing, with the addition of some others along the way. Her dedication, experience, and passion for resident care make her an exceptional leader.
Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her family, including her children, grandchildren, and loved ones. Woodcrest holds a special place in her heart, serving as both the foundation of her professional growth and an extended family. Her compassionate leadership continues to positively impact residents, families, and staff every day.
Dr. Lisa Miller, Medical Director
Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Dr. Lisa Miller is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisville before obtaining her medical degree from Meharry Medical College, a historically black college and university, in Nashville, Tennessee. She completed her Internal Medicine internship and residency at Meharry Medical College and Metropolitan Nashville General Hospital in 2000.
After practicing in Nashville for many years, Dr. Miller returned to Kentucky in 2014 to be closer to family and the community she calls home. Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling, reading, relaxing at the beach, taking in the yearly festivities of the Kentucky Derby and cheering on the University of Louisville Cardinals. Dr. Miller is fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing her to care for a diverse patient population.
